Description

Taken into account that you have read the pages about the 'Utopian SDI-plan' and the 'Facts and Figures' of Utopia, you have to fulfill the assignment for this week which regards the significance and extent of a SDI.

Assignment

Analyze to what extent a Spatial Data Infrastructure can suit the Utopian society in general and its various economic sectors in particular. In addition, illustrate your findings with several examples regarding the governmental and private sectors. 

Working procedure

1. For the execution of this assignment, and the next ones during the following weeks, you have to follow a so-called "Seven Steps" approach. One of the aims of this approach is that you formulate and fulfill personal learning objective(s) as part of a group activity.
2. Your group has to keep a "progress report" comprising: minutes of all your group sessions; individual learning objectives; (individual) tasks to be performed; final case results & conclusions; minutes of Friday's plenary session.
3. During a plenary session at the end of the week a member of each group presents the preliminary findings and achievements of her/his group regarding the Utopian SDI.
